Configuring two-factor authentication

You can now configure two-factor authentication (2FA) on Quickli using a mobile authenticator app.

After you configure 2FA, you will require a 6 digit One Time Password (OTP) to gain access to your account. The 6 digit OTP will only be available to you via your authenticator app and will help keep your account secure.

Configuring two-factor authentication using a TOTP mobile app

A time-based one-time password (TOTP) application automatically generates an authentication code that changes after a certain period of time. We recommend using cloud-based TOTP apps such as:

  • Authy

  • Google Authenticator

  • 1Password

  • LastPass Authenticator

  • Microsoft Authenticator

  1. Download a TOTP app on your mobile device.

  2. Go to your Quickli security settings page: https://app.quickli.com.au/settings/security

  3. Click the Enable 2FA button

  4. Scan the code with the authenticator app on your phone phone:

  5. Enter the code generated by your authenticator app here

  6. Confirm your mobile number here. We'll use this to verify your identity in case you lose access to your 2FA device. If you don't put in the right phone number here, you risk permanently losing access to your account.

  7. Bob's your uncle!

How 2FA Works in Quickli

  1. Sign in to Quickli

  2. Enter the 6 digit code found in your authenticator app

It's worth mentioning:

  • If you don't remember setting up a 6 digit code but Quickli is asking you to enter one, that means you (or someone on your behalf) have already completed this step previously and the 6 digit code is somewhere in your authenticator app.

  • Quickli does not have access to your 2FA code and cannot send it to you or reset it.
