Explaining the prorated billing method for Monthly Subscribers

If you've added a new user in the middle of your billing cycle, your first invoice AFTER adding the new user will be higher than normal.

We'll explain why πŸ‘‡πŸ»

Monthly Subscribers

This is likely due to the prorated billing method.

If you've added a new user in the middle of your billing cycle, the next invoice will reflect the days from that month's billing cycle that had the new user active plus the upcoming month for all users.

It's a catch up payment for the days the user was active in the previous month.

For example, if you've been paying $78/month+GST for two users and you've recently added a third user, you may find that your next invoice is - let's say - $136.50+GST (instead of the $117+GST you might have been expecting).

This is because you added the new user in the middle of your billing cycle. A user costs $39 / 30 days = $1.30+GST per day. If the user was active for 15 days in the current billing cycle then it equates to roughly $1.30 x 15 = $19.50+GST added to the upcoming invoice. $117 (3 users) + $19.50 (last month prorated amount) = $136.50+GST.
